Location

Islantilla glories in one of the fine beaches typical of this part of the Andalucian coast. Two kilometres of fine white sand, backed by dunes and a pretty promenade, make this a great location for family holidays. A number of beach bars will provide you with the essental drinks and snacks.

A small commercial area has grown up in the centre which is now the focal point of the resort. This offers a cinema and a variety of shops and restaurants. For the more active holiday-maker there is a sailing and hobie cat school, there are horse riding facilities and bicycle hire is available for those wanting to explore the beautiful surroundings.

Islantilla for golfers

Islantilla's 'jewel in the crown' is it's 27-hole international standard golf course, which has played host to a number of important tournaments, including the PGA Spanish Open; the course is also the winter home of the PGA Golf Unions of Sweden and Denmark.

Islantilla for wildlife

Islantilla makes a good base from which to explore Atlantic Andalucia. This part of Spain contains a number of very important wildlife habitats and natural parks, including the internationally known Parque Nacional de Doñana , home to an incredible multitude of wildlife in its sand dunes, marshes, pine woods, salt flats and freshwater lagoons. Here is one of Europe's last remaining habitats for the endangered lynx and the rare Spanish Imperial Eagle. The best time to visit is in winter and spring when the park is full of wildfowl. At the western end of the province lie the 'Marismas del Guadiana', the marshes of the Guadiana estuary, which are rich in birdlife, including herons, storks and flamingos.

Accommodation

We have a wide range of holiday lets available in Islantilla, ranging from beach properties to small houses in and around the golf course; these properties are usually sited in private, secluded locations, with pools and sometimes with stunning views due to the higher ground. From the beach front to the golf course Andalucia Rentals can meet your needs.
